Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
An important message from your dentist: one fee for all for the same treatment
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), established by the Government of Canada, began in May 2024 and is being rolled out gradually. Eventually, over 2.5 million Quebecers will be able to benefit from it. Perhaps you will be one of them? As dentists, we are pleased that more people will have access to oral care through an unprecedented financial assistance program.
The purpose of this message is to clarify an important point about our clinic’s fee policy. Regardless of whom we treat, we are committed to providing everyone with the same quality of care, the same professionalism, and at the same fee. Our code of ethics requires us to charge the same fee for the same treatment to all our patients.
In addition to being ethical, it is fair and equitable for all patients, whether they are privately insured, covered by a public plan like the CDCP, or have no dental coverage at all.
Before your appointment
- Have your CDCP card with you.
- Bring a photo ID (health insurance card, driver’s licence, etc.).
- You will have to pay the difference between the amount the CDCP reimburses us and our usual fees.
In Quebec, all dentists charge the same fee for the same treatment. Not only is this fair, it is also an ethical obligation.
